Lamb Patties with Roasted Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1-¼ pounds lean ground lamb
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-½ cups finely chopped onions
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1-teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup canned Daily Pantry Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 pouch of Daily Pantry Roasted Mushroom Simmer Sauce

Directions

Place the lamb in a mixing bowl.

Heat two tablespoons of oil is a skillet and add the onions and garlic—cook briefly and then add the cumin –blend well.

Scrape the onion mixture into the lamb add bread crumbs, egg and blend well. Form patties –approximately 20 and set aside

In a saucepan combine the tomatoes, white wine and Daily Pantry Roasted Mushroom Simmer Sauce and bring to a boil. Once the sauce has boiled set on a low simmer.

In a non-stick skillet heat the remaining olive oil and cook the patties turning so they brown evenly—about 5 minutes Then put the patties in the sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes.
